DIY: Pimp your pencil skirt

Some people never have enough jeans, others would love to wear a T-shirt 24/7. My favorite fashion piece is less convenient; it´s the pencil skirt. I have been collecting them ever since Victoria Beckham put them on the fashion map again and already have a wide range, from sequined to neon. One of my pencil skirts needed an upgrade though. So I went into town and bought a small piece of lace. Since the skirt has a Burgundy color I chose a turquoise lace fabric (I love the combination of those two shades). Then the only thing left for me to do was to stitch the lace onto the inside of the pencil skirt.

I´m pretty happy with how it turned out. The skirt is a little longer now too, which I like. I´ll soon wear it and show you the result.

1. Choose a simple pencil skirt

2. Buy a piece of lace in any color or pattern that matches your skirt

3. Stitch the lace onto the inside of the skirt

4. You´re done!
