DIY: Hat Band

Feel like giving your hat a special twist? Try this DIY. It doesn’t get any easier than this.

Pick any hat you would like to pimp (I chose this purple floppy H&M hat).

Try finding one that already has a small band on it, so you can sew your band onto that one (instead of sewing it onto the hat itself).

Buy a ribbon or band in any color or pattern you like. Depending on the size of your hat you’ll need about 80 centimeters. Make sure the width of the ribbon or band it the same as the original band.

Choose a thread in the same color as the band, so it will stay invisible.

Attach the ribbon to the hat by sewing it onto the hat’s band.

You’re done!
