TESSTED: Style.com / Print

This week I picked up a copy of the new Style.com magazine at Colette in Paris. I had heard about it before, but it issn’t available in Amsterdam yet. I have to dig in the texts a little deeper, but so far it is looking good. The magazine is big and the paper used for it is really thick, which gives it a reach feeling. The images inside are the most impressing; you just gotta love the Tommy Ton spreads.

Some articles have a strong link with the Style.com website, like a two-spread item on the best viewed shows online. Other articles, like the many Top 10 lists of models, bags, party animals, best dressed people etc., come across as a little too ‘easy’. All fashion cities are explored by several ‘Styles Notes’-spreads and the magazine ends with a beautifully photographed story on Alber Elbaz.

Overall impression Style.com / print: good! Can’t wait to turn this thing inside out.
